Microsoft and 343 Industries announced Halo 5: Guardians will be coming to the Xbox One the fall of 2015. The announcement was brought to the world by Bonnie Ross, General Manager at 343, via Xbox Wire, but Halo 5 is not the only news that made rounds on the internet. The rumor at large is for the supposed Halo Collection coming to the Xbox One later this year.
Halo 5: Guardians will continue the journey of Master Chief, and according to photos released, a new Spartan may share the spotlight. This leads us to a very important question–“who the heck is that other Spartan?” It might be safe to assume that we may find out during E3, or not be impatient to find out and play the game next year. At least we might have something to hold us over until then. If the Halo Collection rumor holds water, it should see release this fall to keep Halo fans busy.
The rumored Halo Collection will contain HD remasters of Halo 1-4, which focuses on Master Chief’s journey and makes for the best way to catch up with the story before the new entry. Engadget speculates the remastering may be handled by Saber Interactive–the studio that handled Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary to celebrate Halo’s 10-year anniversary.
Four games in one collection is quite the task for a studio. Is it safe to assume this collection won’t contain many online features, if any? Will it be a campaign collection? Will Microsoft unveil more info on Halo 5 and a Halo Collection at their press conference? Are you asking these questions too? Do you still care about Halo? Hit up the comments belows.
