Regular Show Seasons 1 & 2 DVD and Blu-ray Coming July 16th
Cartoon Network has some more goodies coming for the DVD and Blu-ray collectors, and the CN Monday Primetime fans in all of us.
Last Summer, the network started pushing out season DVD box sets, with their Adventure Time complete first season set. A set we (I) love. And they’ve got the second season coming June 4th, on DVD and, for the first time, Blu-ray (they’re putting season 1 on blu discs, too!). And, now, after smaller DVD sets like the Slack Pack, Party Pack, and the Best DVD in The World (At This Moment in Time), CN is going to be bringing you the first two complete seasons of Regular Show on DVD and Blu-ray this July. The 16th, specifically.
The DVD and Blu-ray will include all 40 episodes from the first two seasons, and much more. Do you like special features? I sure hope you like special features. Because these things are chock full of ’em. The list via TVShowsOnDVD:
- Naïve Man from Lolliland Student Short
- 8 Bit Test Monster
- Regular Show Animatic
- Comic Con 2010 Teaser Trailer
- Pencil Test Drawings
- Music Video
- Hot Topic Interview
- Pops Character Reading by Sam Marin
- Original Drawings of the main characters
- Original Post it used to pitch Regular Show
- Unaired Regular Show Pilot
- Sam singing Blitzkrieg Bop
- Deleted Scenes
- JG Storyboard Pitch
If you’ve never seen it, Naive Man From Lolliland is a student film by show creator JG Quintel which stars the original character that would eventually become Regular Show’s Pops. There’s another student film by the creator out there entitled 2 in the AM/PM, but if you’ve ever seen it, it’ll be obvious to you as to why it’s not included here (the short introduces designs that would become Mordecai, Benson, and some others in a sequence where the two main characters trip on LSD while at work. It’s great, and worth seeking out if you’re a fan of the show).
Here are the covers, again via TVShowsOnDVD:
I don’t think I’ve seen spiffier covers since the Harvey Birdman DVDs.
The DVD will span 2 discs, while the Blu-ray will span 3. TVShowsOnDVD lists the MSRPs as $36.94 for the DVD, and $26.23 for the Blu-ray– information even they believe is likely a typo (a Blu-ray costing less than a DVD? Probably not.). We’ll let you know when we know for sure what’s up with that.
We’ll also let you know when the DVD and Blu are up for pre-order. But in the mean time, you can get the Regular Show Slack Pack for $9.96 on Amazon right now, Best DVD in The World for $12.99, and Party Pack for $11.99. Click them links, spend that money, and then get ready for the big ol’ two-season set this July 16th.
And, as always, watch Regular Show Mondays at 8 on Cartoon Network.
And, keep an eye out for the comics from KaBOOM! this April.
Man, this show’s busy, huh?
One more kudos to TVShowsOnDVD.
