JURASSIC WORLD Set To Roar Into Theaters In 2015
It’s been a long time since we’ve seen any addition to the Jurassic Park franchise, and fans won’t be getting instant gratification by any means. Universal has just announced that Jurassic World, originally known as Jurassic Park 4, is scheduled to hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
Steven Spielberg will return as the executive producer on the project. It isn’t a big surprise to hear that he’s involved, but it still comes as a big let down for a lot of us. I was definitely hoping to see Spielberg reclaim the director’s seat for round four. Although Jurassic World will undoubtedly be what we expect as big-budget spectacular, Spielberg’s personal touches always leave audiences wanting more.
Jurassic World will be directed by Colin Trevorrow, who according to Deadline will be going off of ” a draft of the screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly.” I’m not sure exactly what that means, but I’m sure they’ll fine tune it in the very near future.
