SHERLOCK Series 3 Premiere Announced

It’s been a long time coming, Sherlock fans. Too long, actually. With Benedict Cumberbatch’s commitment to Star Trek, Martin Freeman’s leading role in The Hobbit trilogy, and Steven Moffat’s duties on Dr. Who, production on Sherlock was delayed for over a year. Do you know how many times I watched Star Trek Into Darkness just to get in my required dose of Benedict Cumberbatch? I lost count. But now the wait is almost over, and sooner than we think.

Earlier today, PBS released its Winter/Spring 2014 programming which reveals the return of our favorite mystery-solving duo.

Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss revealed at the Edinburgh International Television Festival in August 2012 that the episodes will be titled “The Empty Hearse”, which reveals how Sherlock faked his death, “The Sign of Three”, and “His Last Vow” respectively.

Sherlock returns to PBS’s Masterpiece Mystery on Sunday, January 19 at 10 p.m. ET, right after Downtown Abbey, which premieres on January 5 (MATTTHHHHEEEEWWW!!!). Welcome back, Sherlock! We’ve been devastated since “The Reichenbach Fall”.
