Adam Driver denies Nightwing Rumor

News broke recently that Adam Driver was the front runner for the part of Nightwing in the Man of Steel sequel. Every  media outlet was a buzz with the possibilities of The Girls star joining the illustrious cast of the DC film.

Driver is currently doing press for the Coen Bros. Inside Llewyn Davis and says there are no truth to those rumours. But which rumors is he denying? That he’s actually been cast? That he’s a front runner? It’s definitely a matter of semantics, but it doesn’t look good.

Collider was the first to get Driver on the record about the role. The way Steve asks the first question certainly leaves some doubt but the follow up, about hearing a few weeks later, seems more definitive. Driver also spoke to The Huffington Post about it and, again, Driver denies the “Nightwing rumor.” Read the full exchange here. In both cases he seems flattered by the suggestion, but emphatic that he is in the dark. But in neither case he is flat out asked “Are you a front runner to play Nightwing in Batman vs. Superman?” And that’s the kind of uncertainty these situations thrive on.

Nightwing Hopeful's?
Nightwing Hopeful’s?

So with Driver seemingly knocking the rumour  on the head who would you want to play Nightwing in the DC sequel? I’ve been giving it a lot  of thought recently and personally I would like to  see Ezra Miller as Nightwing, he’s cool, witty and has the style to pull off Dick Grayson’s presence. Who would you like to see in the role of Nightwing? Do you want the  rumours about Adam Driver to be untrue? Then there is the biggest question of all, Is Nightwing even in the Man of  Steel sequel? It feels like I’ve asked this  question a lot since the announcement of Man of Steel 2.
