In this episode of American Horror Story: Coven the dead remember what it’s like to be alive. Since there are now three characters that have returned from the other side, and Myrtle Snow somewhere in between, the line between living and dead is starting to become increasingly grey.

Madison (Emma Roberts) is struggling to come to grips with her postmortem lifestyle which includes the inconvenient feature of having no physical feelings. In order to trigger them she decides to cross the friend line and engage in some R-rated activity with Zoe’s (Taissa Farmiga) kind of boyfriend, Kyle (Evan Peters). Although it’s not without it’s kinks, she manages to explain the interlude to Zoe without starting a cat fight.

Meanwhile, Fiona (Jessica Lange) is out having some interludes of her own. Likewise, her choice in partners is questionable. The Axeman has charmed his way into her psyche and her bed. He’s admitted some pretty unsettling information to Fiona, and for some reason, she’s still entertaining his company. When the witches killed him, he was already a grown man. Fiona was a child when he first started watching her, and now they’re sleeping together. As far as American Horror Story goes, it’s not the only thing that is a bit complicated, but it’s pretty far up on the list.

Cordelia (Sarah Paulson) is still adjusting to her condition and is using her new power of sight to see things that she was blinded to before her “accident.” She’s already kicked her husband to the curb, although he probably won’t stay there for long, and it looks like her mother is next on that list. Except she’s prepared to do far worse to Fiona after discovering what she did to Madison.

That isn’t the only conspiracy cooking at Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies. Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) has decided to change sides and has offered Delphine (Kathy Bates) as tribute to Marie Laveau (Angela Bassett).

It’ll be interesting to see just how things play out with all the underhandedness happening under the same roof. The witches still have Cordelia’s ex to deal with and the Axeman before things can start to go back to normal (whatever that is). And, I can’t wait to see what Nan (Jamie Brewer) has to say about Queenie’s betrayal.
