5. World Of Hurt

He’s a bad motha…

Back in the good old days of 2011, before every single person who could use Firefox decided to create a Kickstarter for one project or another, creator Jay Potts brought his web comic to life via crowdfunding. World Of Hurt is touted as the first blaxploitation web comic, but it should be added, that it’s also the best. Modeled after such classic grindhouse pictures like Truck Turner and Foxy Brown, World Of Hurt would make the perfect throwback film; a non-tongue-in-cheek Black Dynamite, if you will. The plot is your typical blaxploitation romp featuring all kinds of street trash and a tough-talking anti-hero who cleans up the city by any means necessary. The beauty in the pages is the incredible amount of character depth as well as the true to life feel of the 70s.
