JUSTICE LEAGUE Rumor: Matt Damon Considered for Aquaman

You’ve no doubt heard the news that the fabled Justice League movie is apparently coming to the big screen. Warner Bros announced that there would be a Justice League movie following the events of the Man Of Steel sequel, which will feature Henry Cavill as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, and Gal Gadot  as Wonder Woman. Just recently, Warner Bros announced that newcomer, Ray Fisher, would be playing Victor Stone, aka Cyborg. Then there are still the up-in-the air rumors of Jason Momoa’s involvement and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s much speculated talks with DC. Just to keep us on our toes, and to keep us obsessed over which JLA founding member they’ll bring on next, the latest casting rumor puts the spotlight on Aquaman, the League’s most underused, under-appreciated member. And guess who the internet is saying might play said hero: Matt Damon. No, really.

That’s right, the Jason Bourne actor could fight alongside his ol’ Good Will Hunting buddy, Ben Affleck, against the whichever evil-doer besides Lex Warner Bros. decides to stick in the film for good measure. If this rumor had any base in truth whatsoever, I don’t know would I feel about Matt Damon playing the King of Atlantis, especially Geoff Johns’ New 52 version. I have always seen Aquaman as a lean, towering figure who commands respect. I don’t quite see that in Matt Damon. Honestly, I think that Liam Hemsworth would make a more suitable Aquaman. Sorry, Matt Damon

Potential King of Atlantis?
Much better.
