3 DAYS TO KILL Blu-ray Review

3 Days to Kill is a chaotic mess, which is to be expected from director McG (Terminator Salvation). The film stars Kevin Costner, Hailee Steinfeld, Amber Heard and Connie Nielsen.

The film follows an international spy (Costner) who attempts to reconnect with his estranged wife (Nielsen) and daughter (Steinfeld) when he learns that he is dying. He is offered an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for completing one last assignment – hunting down the world’s most ruthless terrorist.

Thanks to a horrible script, pacing and editing, 3 Days to Kill falls flat. Costner is the only saving grave for the film. The plot bounces from action scene to father-daughter comedy/drama and then back to action scene. I felt like I was watching a movie that had multiple personalities.

McG needs to hang up his directors hat. With Terminator Salvation he turned what could have been a fantastic Terminator reboot into a cluster f@$K of a film. The character development is non-existent, which made it hard to care whether they survived.
