JUSTICE LEAGUE, WONDER WOMAN, FLASH and GREEN LANTERN release dates?

This week Warner Bros. and DC Comics have let slip their slate of films that are currently in development for their own cinematic universe. While this is an “unofficial” announcement, industry insiders and blogs across the globe believe this list that has hit the interwebs in recent days is what will officially be announced at Comic Con next month in San Diego:

May 2016 – Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
July 2016 – Shazam
Christmas 2016 – Sandman
May 2017 – Justice League
July 2017 – Wonder Woman
Christmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2

And what a most ambitious plan it is indeed! With Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice spearheading the launch, DC and Warner have gone all-in, appearing to be fully committed to the DC Comics brand, and putting plans in place that will not only finally lead to a big screen Justice League production, but also the long-awaited debut of Wonder Woman in cinemas across the globe in the summer 2017 as well as a true sequel to the fantastic Superman retelling, Man Of Steel.

What’s clear is DC and Warner are balking the highly successful Marvel trend, and instead carving a new path for establishing their own cinematic universe. The studios plan to introduce various Justice League characters across multiple films, with appearances coming as cameos rather than as stand-alone films. However, there are some significant question marks in regards to several of these films. Is Shazam actually a film fans and non-fans alike even want to see, and what do we make of this Flash / Green Lantern team-up film which WILL NOT include Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as Hal Jordan? There is such promise with this announcement, but also skepticism with several intriguing and as-yet-unanswered questions.

Are you looking forward to Justice League, Wonder Woman, and the Flash/Green Lantern team up movies?
