New Dolores Umbridge Story Coming This Halloween!
Rejoice, Harry Potter fans! According to THR, author J.K. Rowling is releasing a new story on Pottermore this Halloween. The center of this new and original story? Why, none other than the most despite witch of all, Dolores Umbridge.
According to Pottermore.com, the new short is a 1,700-word back story about Umbridge’s life. It will provide lots of new details about this malicious witch, revealing first-person thoughts and reflections.
In case you need a reminder, Dolores Umbridge first appeared in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix as the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister for Magic. Later in the story she joins the Hogwarts faculty as professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts. She appeared again in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows where she became Hogwarts’ High Inquisitor and Headmistress. She is probably the most hated villain in the entire series as well.
One can only imagine what Rowling has in store for us by releasing Umbridge’s story on Halloween, but you can be sure this writer in particular will be clamoring up against the computer, pouring over all 1700 words.
