Here’s a First Look at Telltale Games’ GAME OF THRONES, Episode 2: “The Lost Lords”

Telltale Games has just been on fire with their latest adaptations, one of them being HBO’s Game of Thrones series. Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series takes place just after the infamous Red Wedding (The War of the Five Kings), and everyone is scrambling to figure how to deal with the fallout.

You play as members of House Forrester, a family typically loyal to the Warden of the North, a title that used to belong to House Stark. Now they are stuck in a precarious position where members of the household members must do what (or say) whatever they can to appease their new overlords, or face utter destruction.

All eyes are on House Forrester and their precious Iron Wood (wood that is hard extremely hard to cut through), over which they have a monopoly. The crown wants to use Forrester’s precious resources but the house’s former allegiance to the Starks makes them an untrustworthy asset. Based on your decisions in the end of Episode One, negotiations with the new Warden of the North have gone bad, or worse. A lot of people are angry and the fight to survive just got a little harder. (Par for the course in this series, isn’t it?)

Like the book and television show, Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series transports the player to various points of view from different people, be it a direct family member of House Forrester or someone who serves the house. This series makes the player navigate through the delicate (and often dangerous) balance of politics and soothsaying. Each decision you make ripples across Westeros, from King’s Landing in the South to Ironrath in the North and beyond.

Multiply the actions of one character by five, and you’re truly playing the Game of Thrones… where you win, or you die. Good luck!

“The Lost Lords” is the second episode in the already critically-acclaimed game series. It will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, February 3 on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, Steam, and other digital distribution services, and on the PlayStation Network for the PS4 and PS3.

Xbox One and Xbox 360 gamers will have to wait an extra day for the episode to be available on Wednesday, February 4 in the Xbox Games Store.

If you prefer to go mobile, the new episode will be available for compatible iOS devices via the App Store and to compatible Android-based devices on Thursday, February 5.
