‘Tatooine’ Considered No Longer Safe Due to ISIS

Fans of Star Wars, especially fans of Star Wars who love to travel, will be sad to hear that certain filming locations located throughout Tunisia are now considered dangerous due to jihadist activity, CNN reports.

CNN said two arms caches have been found in the area this month, including one that contained rocket-propelled grenade launchers and more than 20,000 rounds of ammunition.

Fans are being warned to not make the the trip to Tataouine, among other filming locations, at the moment. Tataouine is the inspiration for Luke Skywalker’s home planet, Tatooine, in the Star Wars franchise. Many fans travel from all over the world to visit these beautiful locations and to get a real life taste of Star Wars, but recently the British government has warned to not travel unless essential due to ISIS. Tunisia is located in the northern part of Africa and shared borders with Libya, Algeria, and the¬†Mediterranean Sea.
