Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. “One Door Closes” Recap

There’s another S.H.I.E.L.D.?! Skye is missing, via teleportation?! And Coulson could be on his way out, via General Adama?! What is happening on Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.?!?! As we drive full steam ahead towards next month’s Age Of Ultron cinematic release, Marvel television is laying it all on the line, and in the process giving us one of the best sophomore seasons of network TV in recent memory.

As Coulson splits the team, he learns that S.H.I.E.L.D. is not only what he thought it has been since the events of The Winter Soldier, but that the very agency he thought he was leading is, in fact, looking to remove him from the equation altogether. And on top of it all, he has “lost” Nick Fury’s “toolbox” and Agent Fitz may be well on the way to unlocking it.

And Skye has gone missing, leaving the world of S.H.I.E.L.D. behind in hopes of learning more about her new-found life, and the mysterious past that brought her to this place and time. She continues to struggle with honing her new abilities, and despite her father creating a team of super villains, if only for one episode, he is no closer to helping her discover all that she can become, instead leaving her to fend for herself while he plays evil mastermind. “One Of Us” was a real mixed bag last week, but things continue to hold promise for Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. as the events of Age Of Ultron are about to unfold.

Fans, how did you feel about “One Door Closes?”
