Andy Serkis’ Role in STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS Revealed!

In an interview with, photographer Annie Leibovitz recounts her time spent on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens while she took exclusive shots of the cast in costume for Vanity Fair.  In this said interview, she reveals a previously unpublished photo of Andy Serkis rigged up in the same fashion as Luptia Nyong’o in Vanity Fair’s Star Wars issue. Because Serkis’ photo was never published, we never got around to finding out who’ll he’s playing in the movie…until now.

Andy Serkis is playing a character named Supreme Leader Snoke. That’s it. That’s all we know about him.

Judging by Serkis’ severe yet stoic expression in the picture below, Snoke is definitely a bad guy. Perhaps we could also be looking at this trilogy’s new Chancellor Palpatine? A very appropriate for someone of Serkis’ caliber. If you go back to the first Force Awakens teaser trailers, you can listen Snoke narrating, and then get chills up your spine.
