‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season 3 Returns September 29

The season 2 finale of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may have ended almost a month ago but we finally have the premiere date for season 3. It has been announced that September 29th will be the date the agents return. It will still keep its same day and time of airing as with seasons 1 and 2 of Tuesdays at 9pm on ABC.

It seems the whole main cast from season 2 will be returning for season 3. In addition, recurring season 2 characters Mack and Lincoln, played by Henry Simmons (pictured below) and Luke Mitchell respectively, have been upgraded to the status of series regulars.

No further information on season 3 have been released but for those of us who’ve been watching the series knows that Season 2 left us with things to look forward to. Skye/Daisy (Chloe Bennett) will try to gather a new team of other people with super powers, Director Coulson (Clark Gregg) will try to bring S.H.I.E.L.D. back together, and hopefully an answer to what happened to Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) in those last few seconds.
