Pratt, Howard Return For Jurassic World Sequel In 2018
Following the reports that Jurassic World have passed the Avengers movie and becoming the number 3 movie on the All-Time Box Office list, Universal Pictures announced that the sequel to the hit movie will be released on June 22, 2018. The sequel will also see the return of actors Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard in their respective roles. Frank Marshall and Steven Spielberg will return as producers, with the first film’s director Colin Tervorrow to write the screenplay with Derek Connolly. There have been no announcement on who the director for the film will be.
The film has made $1.522 billion and counting as one of the highest-grossing opening weekend of all time, both domestic and international. The only two films to have done better at the worldwide box office are James Cameron’s 2009 blockbuster “Avatar” with $2.78 billion, and his 1997 disaster epic Titanic with $2.18 billion. Disney’s Marvel superhero mashup The Avengers brought in $1.520 billion in 2012, and Jurassic World overtook it Tuesday night, Universal said.
