A REASON Starring HAPPY DAYS’ Marion Ross Now Available on VOD and DVD

A REASON, the indie drama from Risberg Schilling Productions, is now available on VOD and DVD. The film screened at numerous festivals last year including the LA Femme Film Festival for which director Dominique Schilling picked up a “Best Feature Writer” award. The film went on to have a limited theatrical run in Los Angeles over the summer. A REASON can now be viewed on DirecTV, Amazon Prime, Google Play, Verizon On Demand and Time Warner.

A REASON follows Serena, a distraught young misfit, and Nathan, her controlling older brother. Both are forced to endure a dreaded family gathering at the house of their elegant elderly Aunt Irene played by the legendary Marion Ross – the reading of her will. The activity sets off an unexpected course of events that ultimately forces them to reevaluate their views on love, forgiveness and family.

When discussing the film and her role Ross says, “It was fun to play someone you don’t adore. She was no Mrs. C from Happy Days. I was also drawn to her because it was a very good script. You can’t quite figure out who to root for in this film.” Ross went on to win “Best Supporting Actress” at the Hoboken International Film Festival for her portrayal as Aunt Irene.

The film also stars Magda Apanowicz (Open Road’s “The Green Inferno”); Nick Eversman (CW’s “The Tomorrow People”); Roxanne Hart (NBC’s “Medium”); Ron Melendez (NBC’s “Parenthood”) and Madeleine Falk (CBS’ Judging Amy).

Schilling and Risbergs’ next film, LITTLE GIRL, BIG EYES is currently in development.
