Get Your First Look Of The Upcoming Movie Ocean’s 8

Ocean’s 8 won’t arrive in theaters until June 8, 2018, however we finally got our first official look of the cast. As you can see in the promo picture, the all-female spinoff of the 2001 Ocean’s Eleven series, that stared George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon, will now be staring (along with their character names) Sandra Bullock as Debbie Ocean, Cate Blanchett as Lou, Rihanna Nina Ball, Mindy Kaling as Amita, Awkwafina as Constance, Helena Bonham Carter as Rose, Anne Hathaway as Daphne Kluger, and Sarah Paulson as Tammy.

The synopsis of the Ocean’s 8 movie, just like it’s predecessors, seems to have Sandra Bullock’s character assembling a group of women for a heist at the Met Gala. Director Gary Ross will be taking over this version of the franchise that has been previously directed by director Steven Soderbergh for the all male version.  The main cast aren’t the only star power that will be shown in the movie. It has been revealed that there will be appearances by Dakota Fanning, Katie Holmes, Olivia Munn, James Corden, Richard Armitage, and Matt Damon, presumably reprising his role as Linus Caldwell.

I personally never seen any of the Ocean’s Eleven movies so I both don’t know what to expect or can really compare the two series. However, seeing the cast list alone has piqued my interest to want to see it. Who are these people? What are there goals for this heist? How are they connected to one another? There are so many things from this one picture alone that I just don’t know what to expect. I’m hoping Ocean’s 8 will be a good movie and won’t receive any criticism  just for it being the female version like the recent Ghostbuster’s movie went through.
