Watch the Final Trailer for Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST

Last night during ABC’s broadcast of the “The Bachelor,” Disney debuted it’s final trailer for their live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast.

The trailer gave the viewer new footage and also a preview of Ariana Grande and John Legend‘s duet of my favorite Disney song ever, Beauty and the Beast.

We all know that this is a straight adaptation of the animated film but as I watched the trailer a few changes did catch my eye. The biggest one being that it seems Belle’s dad isn’t the crazy goof of the town. In the animated film, he was a lovable, quirky old man but it doesn’t seem that way in the live action film (at least in the trailer). I love him in the animated film but I’m really interested in seeing this new change. There are a couple others one I noticed but I’ll let you see them for yourself in the trailer above.

The trailer hit me all in the nostalgia feels. Beauty and the Beast is my favorite Disney animated film of all time but I truthfully had no plans to watch the live-action film. I passed on both Cinderella and The Jungle Book but this final trailer tugged on my heart strings. Hearing Beauty and the Beast play brought back memories of me playing my cass-single of that release on loop until it gave out. (Have I dated myself yet?) and that final trailer was almost a scene by scene of the original. Well played Disney.

Tickets are on sale and a few theater chains are offering exclusive items / add ons with the purchase of your ticket. You should check out Alamo Drafthouse if you’ve been a fan of their pint glass releases.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast

“Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast hits theaters nationwide on March 17, 2017!
