SDCC 2018: #CloneWarsSaved
I need a moment to compose myself with this news.
In case you missed it, Star Wars: The Clone Wars is RETURNING WITH NEW EPISODES!!
Give me another moment.
Today was the Star Wars: The Clone Wars anniversary panel at SDCC and it sounded like a fun time was had with the fans and the Star Wars: The Clone Wars team. Seriously, I just thought this was going to be, as stated an anniversary panel for one of my favorite Star Wars series ever.
In a turn of events, a trailer was shown to the fans and yes, #CLONEWARSSAVED!

Star Wars: The Clone Wars which started off as a simple animated movie – I don’t care what anyone says I liked it and then it ran for six seasons will be coming back for 12 NEW episodes on Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming service.
Dave Filoni, who helmed the original series and will be returning for the newest run said “I honestly didn’t think we would ever have the opportunity to return to The Clone Wars,” says Filoni. “Thanks to the relentless fan support and the team behind Disney’s direct-to-consumer streaming service, we will now get to tell more of those stories. We feel a tremendous responsibility to make something that lives up to the legacy that George Lucas created with the original series and I think our team, many of whom worked on the show from the beginning, has risen to the challenge.”
The new Star Wars: The Clone Wars episodes will continue the storylines introduced in the original series and will see the return of classic characters Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi as well as fan-favorites Ahsoka Tano and Captain Rex.
Padme and Jar-Jar better also be making some appearances so help me, YODA!
Yes, I said Jar-Jar; YOU CAN FIGHT ME!
