Playtech Releases First Ever Live Slots Game

Online casinos are more popular than ever, so popular in fact, that casino hubs, such as Las Vegas, are seeing a decline in footfall due to punters being able to get the thrill of Sin City from their laptop, tablet or smartphones on the bus, train or in the comfort of their own living room – as long as they have data or Wi-Fi of course!

The surge in popularity of online casino betting has seen games like Blackjack, Roulette and Slots evolve massively with so many different variants of the classic brick-and-mortar games. Meanwhile, people are also going crazy for live games. There are nearly 10 live rooms available just for Roulette, with games ranging from the standard version to Football Roulette and Age of the Gods Roulette. Even Blackjack can have over 10 live lobbies in action at the same time, whilst live versions of Texas Hold’em, Hi-Lo and Baccarat are also available.

However, Playtech, who are one of the biggest game producers for online casinos, released more games than ever last year and have changed the industry completely with one of their latest issues. The company, who are behind the ever-popular Age of the Gods franchise, brought out Live Buffalo Blitz, a live-streamed version of the classic Buffalo Blitz Slots game – accompanied by your very own host.

The live version is jam-packed with the same thrills of the six-reel, 4,096-ways-to-win slot. The usual low-paying card symbols spin within the reels, whilst there is also a variety of animal icons, including moose and bears. The highest-paying symbol, of course, is the golden buffalo – land six of these icons on the same payline to win the mouth-watering 300x maximum jackpot.

The scatter symbol, labelled ‘Free Games’, is your key for free spins. Find three or more across the six reels and you’ll be awarded with up to eight free spins, whilst landing six or more will trigger a whopping 100 respins. If that’s not enough, finding six more scatters during the free spins can land you another 100.

Meanwhile, the wild symbol, a glistening Diamond, will appear in every reel apart from the first. This can randomly multiply wins by up to 5x you original bet during respins.

“2019 has been a remarkable year for the Playtech Live team, with a stronger focus than ever on experience-led innovation,” Kevin Kilminster, Head of Innovation for Live Casino, Playtech, said.

“Live Slots is a genuinely new concept within the industry, delivering an engaging new style of gameplay for players and creating an exciting cross-sell opportunity for operators.

“The popularity of live play streaming via social media demonstrates a player demand for an interactive feel – the experience you would enjoy when playing alongside others in a land-based casino. Live Slots recreates that feeling with a unique style of gameplay.”

Playtech have also released a live version of their hugely popular Quantum Blackjack, the first-to-market multiplier-based Blackjack game, whilst over 20 more live games were also launched by the company last year, including American Roulette, Dragon Jackpot Baccarat and All Bets Blackjack. So, keep your eyes peeled as the company is already looking for innovative creations this year.
